WHY won't the American Red Cross offer CPR training to blind people? I tried to ask them and never got a reply?

I have not seen anything in any of my materials that says we will not offer classes to the blind, but as far as i can tell, our materials are not available in Braille, etc.

Because so much of our training program is based on videos, illustrations, etc., there might be a concern we could not properly educate a blind person.

There is also a policy that if a person cannot properly perform the skills unaided, they cannot be certified.

It would be interesting to see if a blind person could perform CPR to standards without being able to see anatomical landmarks, etc.
